  26. I hope that everyone realizes that these same games ALSO don't work
  27. under Windows, or DESQview X, or any other 386 specific operating
  28. environment.  This is not an OS/2 problem, this is a problem of game
  29. developers not using "standard" memory management techniques such as
  30. DPMI.

  32. Now I know that Windows and DESQview have the advantage that you don't
  33. have to run them, so you can simply boot up DOS and run the game.
  34. OS/2 of course has the "boot /dos" option to do the same thing.

  36. So, the bottom line?  If you have some whiz bang game that doesn't run
  37. under OS/2, then chances are it won't run with ANY multitasking
  38. system.  However, as with the other multitasking systems mentioned
  39. above, you can always bypass the system and simply boot DOS by its
  40. self to run the program.
