- I tried to hook up a non-Seagate drive to a ST-02 and didn't have much
- success. The ST-02 installation book mentions that the Seagate drives
- have software pre-loaded on the drive that the controller expects to see.
- I was using a program called Drive Pro which was able to look at the
- drive and read the number of heads/cylinders, but it would not format
- the disk. Oh well, I only paid $40 for the controller card.

- I was trying to use the controller/drive in an AT&T 6312 (12Mhz '286) that
- currently had an RLL drive in it. I wanted to upgrade from 20M to an 80M
- Seagate 1096N drive that had already been used in an Apple II GS.
-
- I don't know what would happen if you tried to use a second SCSI drive on
- the ST-02.
-
- (I'm going to buy an Adaptec 1742B, mainly because I would like to use it
- for OS/2 2.0)
-
- Hope it helps (tm).
