- The weird thing about the old 386/33 ALR VEISA machines...
- They did NOT come with an external cache (which is an optional daughtercard).
- Without the cache the 386/33 basically bogs itself down to whatever
- speed it can access the slow drams effectively at.

- Open up the case, and next to the drive cage in front, you should see
- a little card plugged into a proprietary slot with an 80386-33 on it.
- There's a second proprietary slot for the optional cache card. If the
- cache card IS there, check the ALR's setup to see whether or not the cache
- has been disabled.
