- I used to have something like this a few years ago. I had a xenix system
- that needed to be rebooted occasionally. I used an Apple ][ that monitored
- whenever the phone would ring. Certain ring patterns would convince the
- apple that the xenix system needed rebooting. The apple had a serial card
- that was hooked up to the console port of the xenix system. The apple
- would then feed the information necessary to get the xenix system back up.
- The last thing the apple would do is then return to the ring monitoring.
