- Athena Micro Systems sells a kit to upgrade a 386 based motherboard w/math
- coprocessor socket to a 486 cpu and math coprocessor. From what I
- understand one removes the old 386 from its socket and installs the 486 plus
- coprocessor. Has anyone done this? Do you get 486 performance improvements?
- The kit costs $235. Is it worth it or better to spend the extra $$ and
- replace the motherboard?
