  12. I do have a similar problem, but with reading the tapes (not just with only 
  13. formatting).
  14. when I try to read any tape I will get the msg: "tape not servoed"
  15. And this ist nonsense, because I can use the tapes with a friends streamer.
  16. I disassembled the tapedrive to remove any alien things like dust,...
  17. nothing works, since I have no technical experience in repairing tapedrives
  18. WITHOUT THE MANUAL (it`s been "second hand").

  20. So: Is this problem known to someone - or does someone knows the
  21. german distributor for IRWIN 285 Floppy-based-tapedrives or at least a good
  22. service station?
