- Just a note: yup, Gateway's phone waiting can be extremely long and tedious
- (though not always.) However, one suggestion: Fax your questions. I have
- always recieved a response back via FAX from Gateway (for either customer
- service or technical information) within 24 hours of having sent it. (I
- admit, however, that I am considerably more composed in my thoughts when
- writing than when speaking. (In fact, I'm drooling as we speak.))
-
- An interesting comparison: when I was trying to get tech info from Dell
- about their computers, it took two *weeks* before they got back to me (via
- FAX or phone) and answered my question (about the type of UARTs on their
- serial boards.) The Gateway tech responsed within eight hours via FAX, gave
- complete information, and suggested some alternatives I could take. Very
- impressive!
-
- [And... my new Gateway 486/33 towers (one for work, one for home) work
- without a glitch.]
