  11. Hey there, I've recently bought (for junker price) an IBM compatible
  12. (Sinclair professional series, PC 500) and a modem (from another soul,
  13. who actually gave it to me...an Omnitel 1200 baud).  I have PROCOMM 2.1
  14. and I'm having troubles in getting the modem to connect to systems.

  16. I have the parity (etc) set okay for the system, it's just not
  17. connecting.  It'll dial, it'll start the "handshaking", but no complete
  18. connection.  I'm guessing it might be the pin settings on the modem, but
  19. I'm not sure.  I didn't receive a manual with the thing (the friend who
  20. gave it to me lives in another city).

  22. Could someone with knowledge (or, about equally beneficial, the manual)
  23. please help me get this thing revving into cyberspace?
