- Hey there, I've recently bought (for junker price) an IBM compatible
- (Sinclair professional series, PC 500) and a modem (from another soul,
- who actually gave it to me...an Omnitel 1200 baud). I have PROCOMM 2.1
- and I'm having troubles in getting the modem to connect to systems.
-
- I have the parity (etc) set okay for the system, it's just not
- connecting. It'll dial, it'll start the "handshaking", but no complete
- connection. I'm guessing it might be the pin settings on the modem, but
- I'm not sure. I didn't receive a manual with the thing (the friend who
- gave it to me lives in another city).
-
- Could someone with knowledge (or, about equally beneficial, the manual)
- please help me get this thing revving into cyberspace?
