- Hi folks!
- I've been unsuccessfully trying to get an Apple ImageWriterII
- to work with my PC. The cable the printer came with has a 25-pin
- RS-232C connector. My PC only has a 9-pin serial port, so I use
- a 25/9 adaptor. I use the dos mode com1:96,n,8,1 command to
- configure the serial port to match the settings of the printer.
- When I try to print something, eg. type autoexec.bat > com1,
- I get a write error, which I also get when nothing is connected
- to the serial port.
-
- I'd like to know if after these procedures the printer should
- print and if so, what could be wrong. I'd also like to get
- the pin-connections from the 8-pin connector at the printer-end
- of the cable to a 9-pin RS-232C, so I can double-check the cable.
