- Hello. I just got dumped with a 286 at work. It has 1M RAM, but I
- need at least 1M of extended to run Turbo C++ 3.0. I located a
- memory card for it that I don't think anyone has ever used. It is
- truly generic: no manufacturers name on it whatsoever. I know little
- about PC hardware, but it has 4 rows of 18 Motorola chips each. I have
- it in a middle slot and am trying to hack the DIP switches to get it
- to respond. There are 2 Grayhill DIPs labled DSW1 & DSW2. I have no
- idea whether this monster configures to AST or Intel RAM card conventions.
- Can anyone please tell me some DIP switch settings to try without going
- through the 2^16 possible combinations? Is there some program I can get
- to help me determine if the card works at all?
-
- I appreciated all suggestions.
