- Come on, give the original poster some credit. When he said "scream" he might
- have said put all the monitors in your local comp. store in a circle and sit
- in the middle with a hearing aid in both ears! ;^(
- Two Sony 1302's is my office developed a very loud high pitch noise after a
- couple of years. One guy took his to the regional Sony repair dept. (San Jose)
- and they repaired it (replaced the xfmr) for @$100.
- The other is unrepaired and still quite offensive (although my boss couldn't
- hear it). I tried it for a while (looks great, even with VGA Windows driver)
- but couldn't stand the sound, so I bought an NEC 4D!!
- Question: A previous post mentioned revarnishing transformer laminations
- to quiet the "screaming". What type of do I need to do it myself?
