  28. I think you misunderstand the "chiding" that Mr Naggum has received.  
  29. I encourage the public dissemination of any problems with software
  30. from the net.  The thing I had a problem was the condescending tone
  31. of his note.  References to "stupid programmers", software that 
  32. "did incredibly stupid things...", and statements like: 
  33. "...and I'm not going to use software written by Lutz Vieweg for 
  34. the next decade or so,...".

  36. These are not helpful criticisms.  I can understand being frustrated,
  37. but the network is a powerful thing, and sometimes we need to 
  38. exercise a little self-control when dealing with our frustrations.

  40. Incidentally, it sounds to me like RFU could use some better 
  41. argument checking.
