  14. We've been successfully using a "Fortress" UPS from Best Technology on our
  15. HP9000/380.  I'd imagine it would do an equally fine job for the 700 series.

  31. Their UPS models come with source for a program to monitor the serial port
  32. in a simplistic but effective manner.  I got it to work on our system in
  33. less than half an hour.  The only drawback is that they *don't* give you
  34. the complete description of the command interface to the UPS, all you
  35. get is what the program itself does.  They are more than happy to sell
  36. you a developers kit which includes said description, but it was decided
  37. that we didn't really need it, and didn't want to pay for it.
