  25. I know, I know... Before I discovered a room full of SUN IPC's I used
  26. to work (well... read the news anyway) on some good old adm3a's. Now,
  27. if any terminal is dumb, it's these ones.

  33. It mightn't be a pre-requisit, but do I like to have it! Some programs
  34. don't run in bg nicely (they keep getting stopped for terminal output)
  35. (Yes I know there must be a solution for that...). I like TOSWIN a
  36. LOT; it gives me real XWindow-feeling; with the new Falcon GEM (I saw
  37. screenshots; nice face-lift, with 3D-style windows) it would even be
  38. Motif- or OpenLook-like. Whoopee!
  39. I just like "A4-windows" for TeX-previewing and such. For that, I need
  40. a big screen. I *can* open a 67-line window now, but with that tiny 6x6
  41. font. And that's with 480 vertical pixels. So I would like to have
  42. just a bit more on the Falcon, even if it's just in mono.

  46. I've seen some reasonable XVGA monitors (768x1024), non-interlaced,
  47. color, for under HFl 1000,- (Look in your local newspaper what the
  48. exchange rate is... It's <600 US$).
