  13.     This evening I discovered that there was a problem with one of
  14. my hard disk partition folders.  Specifically, my utilities folder had
  15. become corrupt.  I could not drag the folder into the trash can for
  16. successful deletion.  Instead I did a 'copy' under TOS 1.4 to my TMP
  17. dir on the same partition.  It copied successfully.  So, I deleted the
  18. folder out of the TMP dir.  I rebuilt the dir from backups.  Then I rebooted.
  19.     When the system came up, the contents of my E:\ partition was
  20. showing up in my D:\ partition (the one with original problem) and the E:\
  21. partition was no where to be found.  The C:\ (boot) partition was fine.
  22. The I used ICD's 'rebuild partition' utility in the ICDFMT program.  Now,
  23. both the D:\ and E:\ partition's register as existing and empty.  When I
  24. look at sector info with Disk Doctor, I see that all the original files
  25. are on the disk (ie.  it wasn't wiped).  This represents about 2600 files
  26. and no user files backed-up.  
  27.     THE QUESTION: How do I restore the FAT in the partitions so that the
  28. dir points to all the files?  Is there program I can get to do this?  I
  29. have no programming experience.  Am I completely f*ucked??
  30. Any help would be appreciated... I'd hate to have to reformat.
