- Hi-
-
- I've always wanted to dabble in writing BBS-type software... Well, the
- "high-level" part of BBS software (like the code that handles the user
- interface, that keeps track of where things are, that provides access to
- new and unique services, that sort of thing). What I have no desire to
- write, though, is things like the code to do an xmodem file transfer
- (for example), or the code that determines what speed somebody logged in
- at & then sets the RS-232 port appropriately... etc.
-
- What I'm wondering is this: does there exist a body of code, in the public
- domain, that handles the kinds of things I've indicated as "icky" ? :-)
-
- Thanks!
- John
