- Fellow //gs users. I have a question that may have already been answered
- at one time, so bear with me. I have a friend who has a RAMFAST SCSI card.
- She has a //gs, with a TMS Pro 105 Meg hard drive.
-
- However, when we try to run Prodos 8 Applications, the machine crashes. If
- you take that application [AppleWorks 3.0, ProTerm, etc] and put it on a
- floppy, and boot, it is okay. Just as long as one does not use the hard
- drive.
-
- I went on America Online, and there was a file [P8] put on by a member of
- NAUG. It came with documentation telling one to put the P8 file into the
- System Folder of the Hard Drive. It said it should clear up the problems.
- However, it did not.
-
- I then called a friend, who informed me to turn off the "mapping" on the
- partitions. I did this too, keeping only the boot partition on. [Next to
- the asterisk].
-
- I also made sure to delete the files SCSI.Manager, SCSI.HDDriver, and
- SCSI.CDDriver from the driver's folder on the hard drive.
-
- However, everything still seems to dump into memory. Do I have to get a
- patched version of Prodos 2.1?
-
- Someone please help me!!! :)
-
- Thanks!

- P.S. Please e-mail crahn@carroll1.cc.edu with the answer, as I am not 100%
- positive I will be able to read it.
