- As I understand things, this is not entirely correct. Earlier versions
- of TIC were indeed shareware. The author of TIC has done something entirely
- new, and has asked that earlier versions of TIC be removed from distribution.

- Some sysops have complied, some have never even heard of the request. I
- do not think that you can remove the shareware status of a version of
- software. So as far as I know (standard disclaimers, I ain't no lawyer)
- those shareware versions of TIC are still valid shareware. Of course the
- new version (whatever that might be) is commercial.
