- There's a bit of a story here. The Ramfast rom 1.x let you have partitions
- as big as you wanted. However, since only prodos was available then, you
- only got 32 megs of usable space on each partition no matter how big it was.
- CVT got sick of people calling them and complaining about 'I bought this huge
- drive and it only says I have 32 megs free!' so for rom 2.x they limited
- partition sizes to 32 megs. Then system 6 came out and HFS was available and
- they realized they had to pull the 32 meg limit back out. So for rom 3.x they
- allow partitions of any size again.
-
- In short, this is a rom 3.x feature. You really should have rom 3.x if you're
- running P8 2.0 or later with 8-bit stuff -- AppleWorks 3.0 and Copy II+ get
- VERY confused if both P8 and the RamFast remap extra volumes.

- When you partitioned with the Ramfast 2.x, all you got was 32 meg partitions
- and free (unused) physical space on the disk that is not assigned to any
- partition -- that's why ADU won't format it for you. Use ADU to PARTITION the
- drive, so you can add some large partitions to the disk. Once you have put
- some large partitions on the disk, you can use anything (ADU, finder, whatever)
- to format them.
