- I just bought a used Quantum 105S SCSI drive. I haven't had the chance
- to try it out and see if it works... obviously I'd like to do so soon.
-
- The catch. I'm trying to install it in a 2000 equipped with a GVP 25MHz
- 68030/68882 board and a separate GVP Impact Series I SCSI interface card.
- I have a Quantum 40S on the hardcard now. I accidentally picked up a
- SCSI 50-pin flat cable with only two connectors, one on each end. Ob-
- viously, I have to replace this with a SCSI cable that has at least one
- more 50 pin connector on it.
-
- But then, there's the issue of reistor terminator packs. As far as I
- can tell, by unscrewing the 40Meg disk from the hardcard, there's no
- sign of the terminator packs on it... I assume they'd be right by the
- SCSI cable connector, am I correct? And the 105 Meg drive didn't come
- with any such resistor packs, unless they're there and I'm just too
- blind to see them.
-
- In short, what should these things look like, and if in fact I don't have
- them as I suspect, how can I go about getting them? I'd like to get the
- second hard drive into this system as soon as possible. Any suggestions
- would be appreciated. Right now I'm left with a drive that I can't really
- make use of, and I'd like to get it tested out as soon as possible.
-
- Thanks in advance.
