- Hi there,
- Yeah Will and I have been writing X-Comm for about 7 months now, and
- I'm glad you like it... I hope you do realise that it is a BETA release that
- is not for public consumption, but thats not really important.
-
- Umm.. yeah as you said, it's a WB2.0 only terminal program that
- supportsd the XEM Emulations and the Console.device for terminal output. It
- supports the new gadtools library for gadgets and uses WB2.0 functions as
- much as it can.
-
- It has almost all the features that are available in other terminal
- programs I have seen, plus some more of my own. We currently are working on
- finishing the ARexx port and then dooing a massive bug cleanup of the code.
- It now has console.device terminal routines, custom font support, openablility
- on any public screen, you can even load a WB pattern to use as your backdrop
- on the main terminal screen!
-
- We hope to have it released within a month or so, but I am only 16 and
- will is at Uni, so we can get a little overloaded with other things in the
- meantime.
-
- Anyway, enjoy X-Comm. PLEASE DO NOT SPREAD IT, as it is only beta. The
- damage is done as far as spreading has gone, but if it is only limited, then
- it's not so bad. Anyway, if you havce any specific questions on how things
- work, send me a letter, and i'll do my best to help you out.
-
- Also, beware, that version has quite a few bugs... USE ATR YOUR OWN
- RISK.
-
- Regards,
- Edward Lawford
