  11. I received my Supra modem almost two months ago now and have been very happy
  12. with it. Lately however several sysyops have commented that they can tell when
  13. I am trying to log on to their systems because of the number of connects /
  14. disconnects they record before I actually arrive with carrier.

  16. I really hadn't noticed because I usually auto dial several boards at once
  17. while doing other things. But lately I have turned the speaker on and followed
  18. the actual events closely. One thing that I have noticed is that sometimes I
  19. hear a ringing tone, a click then the modem disconnects and dials the next
  20. number in the queue. This happens in NComm2.0 and Jr-Comm environments.

  22. I have resorted to dialing up the numbers in tandem with my voice line as sort
  23. of an error prone half assed check and receive ringing and carrier over 50% of
  24. the time.

  26. The question I have is, is anyone else experiencing this or having experienced
  27. it found a fix or is this, one for the ROM upgrade? I just set S10=255 and got
  28. a connection immediately - of course this could have been the attempt when it
  29. was going to work anyway :-)

  31. I know this isn't as complete a post as it could be but if you have any hints
  32. or settings that you have created that works around any of this apparent
  33. problem I would be very happy to hear about it.
