- I am running a BBS using ami-express and want to connect it
- (through a door) to usenet. Since I have only 1 modem, I guess
- that it'll have to dial up a unix host at 3 am and download the
- days usenet. (of course I'll limit it to a few groups since
- HD space is limited). I may switch to tempist or c-net. I need
- to know what applications do I need to be able to do this? How
- do I set it up? All I have is my unix account at a university
- that has simple shell access through a dialup. (and only 2400
- baud! my modem is 14.4 but there are no high speed dialup's).
-
- Anybody have recommendations for the UUCP link to be able to
- have my callers read news and possibly post some as well?
- How about Internet e-mail too? How do I set up my own
- internet address ie. me.bbs.fl.usa?
-
- Is there any BBS software that is better suited at doing this?
- How about the Matt Dillons (uucp-dnet ??? I forget)
-
- thanks,
-
- Keith
