- Examine the FAQ for 3b1. The device driver for /dev/lp performs
- as you've described. Another part of the driver (for raw printer
- usage) is installed on your system as /dev/rawlp. You can send files
- directly to /dev/rawlp or using lpadmin, create a device type
- to use the lp command (example: lp -drawprint my-file).
