  12. I'm having trouble getting the HPPCLAN packet driver to work.  No
  13. matter how I try to load it, I always get:

  15. "No HP PC LAN card found (matching io_addr or int_no if spedified(sic))."

  17. I have obtained two versions of HPPCLAN.COM and have been unsuccessful
  18. with both:

  20. version .1.1  at watsun.cc.columbia.edu:/packet-drivers/bin
  21. version 9.0.0 at bitsy.mit.edu:/pub/connkit/pc.clarkson/drivers
  22.  
  23. I am using the HP PC LAN Adapter/16 TP Plus (circuit board says Rev. A).
  24. I have the card configued in an NCR PC with HPLANSET.EXE as such:

  26. IRQ         9
  27. I/O        0x2C0
  28. boot rom     disabled
  29. mapping        I/O mapped
  30. connector    AUI
  31. link beat    disabled
  32.  
  33. hppclan 0x63 9 0x2c0    <- this prints the above error message

  35. I have also tried it at IRQ 3, I/O 0x300 to no avail:

  39. Can anyone who has had experience with this situation tell me what I'm
  40. doing wrong and how and can get it to work?
