- The SetUp
- I have an SE/30 with an EMACS ethernet card attached. I have
- installed Farrallon's Liason, Apple's MacTCP, and Fetch. I have
- structured Liason so that it sees an Appletalk network on both
- serial ports and an ethertalk network on the ethernet port.
- The machine has a CDROM drive (apple) and a 330 meg harddrive.
- I will eventually be using the machine as a file server as well but
- that has not happened yet. I have set up a Mac IIcx with telnet 2.5 set
- up to be an FTP server. I use Fetch on the SE/30 to download files.
-
- The Problems
- 1) It will download for a while (anywhere from 2 to 10 files) purfectly.
- All of a sudden I get an odd error saying that there is no longer
- a connection. Usually I can ignore the error and keep going. SOmetimes
- I need to close the connection and reestablish it.
-
- 2) Eventually, Fetch reports a Bus Error (no error number) and locks up
- the machine. I need to reboot to get it back again. Unless I actually
- turn off the machine and start from scratch, the bus errors happen
- in a shorter and shorter period of time.
-
- I am using the latest drivers for everything.
-
- Can anyone help with either problem.
