- Recently here, many of our office personnell were using ROLM switch DTIs
- to connect to an IBM mainframe, usually using Mac Kermit or Yale's
- TinCan. However, we've ditched the DTIs and placed cards in the machines
- so they can use TCP/IP programs such as Brown's tn3270 modification of
- the NCSA Telnet program. While nothing is wrong with this program, it
- does not offer us the luxury of locally printing email as our serial
- line programs did. I have heard about the WMAC/RMAC utilities for
- tn3270, but they apparantly only run in IBM 370 mode, not XA mode (what
- we run around here). I would appreciate it if someone could give me
- some pointers to products (preferably free, but commercial considered)
- that will allow us TCP/IP connections, 3270 emulation, and local
- printing (screen dumps don't count, but session captures might suffice).
- I'll give a summary if responses warrant.
