  11. A while back there was a post regarding modification of the shutdown procedure
  12. to include drive head parking. Unfortunately, I missed any responses to this 
  13. post. I anyone has any suggestions, could you please e-mail them to me.

  15. Also, I tried parking the heads from a DOS session and then shutting down the
  16. power (completely bypassing the shutdown procedure). This seems to work, but
  17. when I boot up the system afterwards, CHKDSK is always run on each of my HPFS
  18. partitions. This really slows down the boot procedure and is starting to annoy
  19. me. Is there any solution to this problem (besides not parking the heads from
  20. a DOS session).
