- A while back there was a post regarding modification of the shutdown procedure
- to include drive head parking. Unfortunately, I missed any responses to this
- post. I anyone has any suggestions, could you please e-mail them to me.
-
- Also, I tried parking the heads from a DOS session and then shutting down the
- power (completely bypassing the shutdown procedure). This seems to work, but
- when I boot up the system afterwards, CHKDSK is always run on each of my HPFS
- partitions. This really slows down the boot procedure and is starting to annoy
- me. Is there any solution to this problem (besides not parking the heads from
- a DOS session).
-
- Please e-mail all responses to me at rgundech@napier.waterloo.edu
- Any help would be appreciated !
