- I think I'm going to lose it (again)! I finally received LAN Server
- 2.0, so I cleaned off the server and tried to install OS/2 2.0.
-
- Bzzz! After reboot (during install), when I'm asked to disk 6, I'm
- stopped. I keep hitting [Enter], it keeps beeping and telling me to
- put in disk 6. (Yes, I did put it in, but the drive light doesn't
- even come on.)
-
- So...I decided to stick with good ol' 1.3 on the server. The install
- went fine. Then I tried applying the CSD's. No A: drive. (Sector
- not found error.) So I finally swapped drives (B: was a 5.25") and
- rebooted (and changed the CMOS). Works (usually) o.k. as B:. The
- 5.25" on A: doesn't, though.
-
- My AMI BIOS is dated 04-09-90 - it checks out.
-
- My drive cable _shouldn't_ be the problem since the A: drive is the
- closer one to the controller card (on the cable). Also, it works
- just fine if I boot from a floppy.
-
- I started to have this problem back when I was running MS LAN Manager,
- but it was quite infrequent. Now it's a major pain!
-
- Any ideas? (I'm still waiting on yet another call back from IBM.)
