- I am considering upgrading to a high capacity SCSI drive. What controllers reliably
- support OS/2 and XENIX ? Ultrastor doesn't provide XENIX support. Adaptec claims to
- support XENIX, but does it really work ? What about OS/2 ? Adaptec's 1542B is only a
- SCSI controller not SCSI-2 (5 Meg transfer) or FAST SCSI (10 Meg transfer). While SCSI
- promises much flexibility and performance the volume of postings seems to suggest that
- not all the kinks have been worked out yet. I would like to move towards the future
- without compromising existing software. I wonder if I might be best off by just tacking
- another ESDI drive onto my Ultrastor 12F controller (currently I have a 160 Meg ESDI).
- If any of you have gone through a similar experience I'd like to hear from you.
