- I've been having this problem with OS/2 2.0 installation, and I have checked
- the tips and techniques document to see if this particular problem is
- discussed, but is not. Intially I had 4Mb on my machine and installed OS/2
- after about 20 reboots, but it was installed. Unsatisfied with its performance
- I decided to upgrade my RAM to 8Mb. After I got my computer back I reinstalled
- OS/2 without having to reboot because of any crashes. I decided to delete it
- after I had numerous crashes with a few games (my brother is using the computer
- a lot since it is summer). Last week I decided to reinstall OS/2 with HPFS
- however now it crashes all the time on the 3rd disk usually copying pmwin.dll
- or something like that. I then tried with a FAT installation and this either
- crashes on the 4th or 5th disk. I don't know what the reason is for this since
- I already had OS/2 installed on this machine without any problem. Another
- problem i've noticed is that I am prompted to change to disk 3 when the
- display shows only 50 % of disk 2 installed ( which I beleive wasn't happening
- before). My configuration is as follows:
-
- 80486/25 Mhz, AMI BIOS (DINT-1437-040990-K8), 8 Mb RAM , Fujitsu 90Mb IDE hard
- drive, 1.44 Mb Panasonic floppy drive, ATI Wonder XL (OEM).
-
- Thanks any help will be appreciated, Pasha
