- The major problems with IDE are (1) most controllers only support 2 drives;
- (2) there is no support for other devices (tape drives, CD-ROMs, scanners,
- etc.) like there is for SCSI, and (3) the IDE specification hits a hard
- limit at 525 Mb - nothing bigger.

- Maxtor makes a nice 213 Mb drive, but it is in very short supply right now
- (I tried to find one for 6 weeks; the only ones available, which were
- few and far between, were priced at >$100 over list. Supply and demand

- Yes, you can put a tape on the same controller. Problem right now, with
- OS/2, is that there is a shortage of software to support tape backup,
- esp. backup of HPFS volumes. A good, properly implemented SCSI drive/tape
- system will be ultra-fast, because it should never leave the SCSI bus.
