- This is probably the 'logic' used by IBM but I think its faulty. While
- it *may* be true that the directory settings are different, its not
- necessarily true. Also, I don't see why the program settings would
- necessarily be any different just because the program resides on
- a different machine. If the path/working directory is different
- on the new machine the program object wouldn't work. This is no
- different than if you moved the executable around on the original
- system. This won't result in a fatal error, the system just won't
- be able to execute the program and it will bring up the settings
- dialog. I think this minor inconvenience is worth it for the
- simplicity and consistency of being able to move files around on
- my system, regardless of whether it resides on floppy or hard
- disk.

- BTW, if OS/2 is going to prevent this operation from taking place,
- an alert should come up with a message telling you that you can't
- move program objects to floppies. If you click OK, all other
- selected files would be copies. Selecting Cancel would cancel
- the entire operation.
