- Hi, all. I'm having a couple of problems with XCOPY and CHKDSK.
- OS/2 (and me) can't find XCOPY anywhere. I haven't modified the path at all
- (well, no deletions, anyway), and I have (manually) searched every directory
- on the disk for XCOPY*. No luck. If it's any help, I'm on a 110MB HPFS
- partition.
- CHKDSK works fine, except when I need to do it with the /f:x parameter. I
- boot off of a floppy (created with makeboot.cmd, HPFS FS driver installed). I
- can access the HPFS partition, access files, run programs, etc. I *do* run
- CHKDSK off of the floppy. I always get the message saying 'The file system
- type is HPFS. The HPFS program is being started'. When I run it normally
- (from a session I booted on the HD), I get the stats and everything. After
- booting off the floppy, I just get the message and then the prompt. Any
- ideas?
-
- Please reply via e-mail, as this group has too much volume for me to follow
- reliably.
-
- Thanks for any help!
