- Is there such a thing ? I'm not talking about the multi $100, 4-or-8 port
- proprietary jobs that require special drivers, and are usually used for
- multi-user systems. I mean a regular rinkeydink COM card with a '16-bit'
- card edge that allows jumpering the IRQ up into the 9-15 region...
-
- A related thing I'm curious about... does the 16550 UART have a buffer
- only on the receive side, or is there one on the Tx side as well ?
- It seems almost too obvious to ask, but that would be a way to get around
- the 1k interrupt/second limitation...
-
- Perhaps, before long, there will be a 'C' release of that chip?
