- The TCP/IP stuff is NOT dependent on OS/2 ES or LS. You only need the base
- OS/2 2.0 package (and I think it runs under v1.3 as well). I've seen it
- installed on 3 PC's here, all of which had OS/2 2.0 installed from the
- Windows/DOS upgrade deal (i.e. $49 package) and they all run the network
- stuff without too many hitches. I can say that if you intend to run the
- base package and NFS you would be better off to have 16MB of RAM, as you
- state this fellow has. 8MB is BARELY enough and there is a severe
- performance penalty if you have 8MB or less. Now, that said, maybe they
- were telling him to get ES and that would fix his problem? Doesn't make
- sense to me put I suppose it's possible?
