  14. In a previous article, Chris Hand requested the whereabouts of an Oak
  15. 640x480x16 video driver, and I seconded it. I have since received other
  16. similar requests by email. To summarize: file 67_win31.zip is available at:

  18.     wuarchive.wustl.edu    /mirrors2/win3/drivers/video    and
  19.     ftp.cica.indiana.edu    /pub/pc/win3/drivers/video (I think).

  21. However it does not contain the x16 driver. I have found that the standard
  22. VGA driver supplied with WIN31 works perfectly. In my case, the mouse was
  23. disabled in a DOS window. Following an earlier thread, I suspected the video
  24. driver to be out of date. In fact, at installation WIN31 did not update my
  25. MOUSE driver. I did it manually as follows:

  27.     From Disk #4: EXTRACT A:MOUSE.SY_  C:\WINDOWS\MOUSE.SYS        or
  28.               EXTRACT A:MOUSE.CO_  C:\WINDOWS\MOUSE.COM
  29.  
  30. with appropriate changes in CONFIG or AUTOEXEC as required. And voila!
