- Couldn't help but notice the silence of Microsoft people recently.
- Alistair (who was posting daily) hasn't been seen since August 11
- and the latest post by anyone there was August 14.
-
- Possible reasons:
- - Alistair is on vacation?
- - Alistair got bored answering the same questions repeatedly?
- - Alistair is heavily involved in the weeklong sales meeting?
- - After some of the Microsoft guys got into arguments with
- customers here, they were all told to get lost?
- - Microsoft has adopted an absolute 'no usenet support' policy?
-
- When I ordered NT Tuesday the sales person repeatedly and rather
- emphatically told me that support will be available only through
- Compu$serve. My statement that it would be really nice if they would
- post as much material as possible on Usenet as well drew only a
- repeat of the same policy statement.
-
- I suppose that an occasional *summary* of material found on Compu$erve
- would fall under fair use, wouldn't it? Now that would be a nice way
- to use the free Compu$erve time we get with NT!
-
- Keep telling Microsoft (politely) that we want its support *here*.
