- I have not had any problems with reduction in color information with this
- conversion. When you choose Save, do you just specify the name as
- xyz.BMP or do you click on the 'Format >>' button? If you do the latter
- you will get a dialog box that will enable you to select the format and
- if it is BMP then then number of bits for color. Make sure that you select
- '8 bmp' for 256 colors.
