- Hello netters,
-
- I have a serious problem runnning win 3.1 on a 383/33 computer. The
- problem is that windows crashed very frequently with a "General
- Protection Fault" error.
-
- I have DOS 5 installed, and I've tried almost every options with
- HIMEN.SYS and EMM386.EXE (both windows version), and still windows
- crashed, even when I tried "win /d:x".
-
- The computer passed the diagnostic checks on both the system board and
- memory, so I suspect that there might be a problem with the high
- memory management...
-
- Do you think that putting in a newer version of BIOS would help? since
- the AMI BIOS is quite old.
-
- Any help will be greatly appreciated.
