  13. Hello netters,

  15. I have a serious problem runnning win 3.1 on a 383/33 computer. The
  16. problem is that windows crashed very frequently with a "General
  17. Protection Fault" error.

  19. I have DOS 5 installed, and I've tried almost every options with
  20. HIMEN.SYS and EMM386.EXE (both windows version), and still windows
  21. crashed, even when I tried "win /d:x".
  22.  
  23. The computer passed the diagnostic checks on both the system board and
  24. memory, so I suspect that there might be a problem with the high
  25. memory management...

  27. Do you think that putting in a newer version of BIOS would help? since
  28. the AMI BIOS is quite old.

  30. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
