  14. I have a question regarding Stacker and the Windows 3.1 permanent swapfile
  15. and I hope someone can help.

  17. When I originally installed Stacker I left enough room on the unstacked
  18. portion of my hard disk for a 6M permanent swapfile for Windows. Recently
  19. I had to install more files on the unstacked portion and I had to remove
  20. the swapfile to do so. Later, after deleting many of these files, I tried
  21. reinstall the swapfile. Even though the unstacked portion of my hard disk
  22. is now LARGER than it was before, Windows will not allow me to create the
  23. same 6M swapfile.

  25. I think the problem is that the files left on the unstacked portion of my
  26. hard drive have left insufficient contiguous space to recreate the 6M
  27. permanent swapfile.

  29. Stacker's SDEFRAG utility will defragment the stacked drive, but will not
  30. operate on the unstacked portion. Norton's SPEED DISK won't stop with the
  31. small, unstacked portion of my hard drive and is a no-no with Stacker.

  33. So, my question is how can I defragment the files on the unstacked portion
  34. of my hard drive only, and leave the stacked portion alone?

  36. Any tips or advice will be greatly appreciated.
