- Hello,
-
- I installed my new faxmodem (Gateway Telepath) on my second system (built
- from pieces parts, not a Gateway). Anyway COM1 has mouse COM2 has serial
- printer so I wanted to set up the faxmodem to utilize COM3. Crosstalk for
- Windows shared COM1/3 nicely under Win 3.1. WinFax Pro, however insists that
- the "current" (meaning 3.0) version of Windows does not support interrupt
- sharing. I am set up using COM3/IRQ5 at 3EFh. My question is: is there a
- patch to correct this problem for Winfax Pro? The install program claims it
- cannot find the modem because I am sharing interrupts in enhanced mode. Please
- tell me if I'm wrong, but, I'm positive that Winfax Pro can find my faxmodem
- with the proper patch for Win 3.1.
-
- Thanks for your help,
