  16. I can't speak specifically for Ami Pro, but in general I don't think it is
  17. legal to sell an old version when you upgrade to a new one.  You don't
  18. actually own the program, all you have is a license to use it, and when you
  19. upgrade the license then shifts to the new version.  Some companies do allow
  20. you to donate old versions to charity, nonprofit groups, or educational
  21. institutions.  Of course, if you bought a totally new copy of the program
  22. (i.e. went down to the store and bought a copy at the regular rather than
  23. the upgrade price) you would then own 2 licenses to the program and would
  24. probably be free to sell the old one.
