- I can't speak specifically for Ami Pro, but in general I don't think it is
- legal to sell an old version when you upgrade to a new one. You don't
- actually own the program, all you have is a license to use it, and when you
- upgrade the license then shifts to the new version. Some companies do allow
- you to donate old versions to charity, nonprofit groups, or educational
- institutions. Of course, if you bought a totally new copy of the program
- (i.e. went down to the store and bought a copy at the regular rather than
- the upgrade price) you would then own 2 licenses to the program and would
- probably be free to sell the old one.
