- I have a simple question for the msdos wizards out there! I have a
- '386/25MHz system with 2MB RAM and DOS 5.0. My motherboard allows
- the upper 384KB of RAM to be moved above the 1MB boundary so that I
- have 1.44 MB of RAM available to be used.
-
- I have set up my system with a 512KB disk cache (using smartdrv)
- and 384KB of expanded memory (using emm386). I have also set up DOS
- to run in upper memory (using DOS= HIGH). This should leave me with
- 512KB of extended memory. However, mem /c only shows about 270kB!
- Does anyone know where the rest has gone?
-
- Cheers,

- P.S. No answers saying to get more RAM, please!!
