- So far as I know you must be using the extented file system.
- This allows file names on the order of 256 characters (even RMS doesn't
- use names this long).

- Get the efs mkefs and efsck from tsx-11.mit.edu ALPHA.

- (BTW yes it can be used for a root system. The kernel mounts
- check for Minix magic numbers, if these fail it checks for efs)
