- Problems with DEC-GKS and DEC-WINDOWS workstation
-
-
- I am writing a program using the DEC-GKS library.
- I use the following software versions:
-
- FORTRAN binding: creation date 7-OCT-1991
- DEC-GKS: version 4.2-4, creation date 7-OCT-1991.
-
- I want to use the DECWindows workstation (type 211) for output.
-
-
- On DECstations with the DEC window manager everything works fine.
-
- When I activate the output workstation with GACWK, a window
- opens automatically and my picture appears.
-
- But with other window managers (eg. twm or the NCD window manager)
- only a icon appears, and I have to open the window manually with the
- mouse.
-
- I tried to use the Escape function POP WINDOW, but it only worked
- with the original DEC window manager.
-
-
- What's the matter with the DECWindows workstation? Is there a bug in
- DEG-GKS? Or should I use Xlib functions to open the graphics window?
-
-
- I would like to use GKS, because my programm should work with many
- output devices, eg. TEK4014.
- We have several X-Window terminals, so the program should work with
- other terminals than DECstatations as well.
-
-
- Thanks in advance
