- I don't quite know why smail triggers uux to return failures, but it
- does. Usually, these errors are transient and can be handled by
- retrying the mail. Smail can be configured to reattempt delivery to
- uux at a later time, which always cures these transient problems.

- The 3.1.26 release (which is now available on uunet), includes
- instructions on how to configure smail to retry uux calls, as needed.
