  12. Thanks to all of you who responded with answers to my question
  13. about how I can send mail to a CompuServe user.

  15. Everyone had pretty much the same suggestion about changing the
  16. commas in the CompuServe address to periods and tacking on 
  17. "compuserve.com" on the end.

  19. What I discovered, however, was that the mail was returned to me
  20. when I did that.  For example, the following syntax caused the mail
  21. to be returned with a "Your mail cannot be delivered as addressed"
  22. message:

  24.     xxxxx.yyyy@compuserve.com
  25.  
  26. However, when I changed the capitalization to the following, it worked:

  28.     xxxxx.yyyy@CompuServe.COM
  29.  
  30. Weird, huh?

  32. I'm able to send mail now using this CompServe syntax so I'm happy.
