- * 11th Annual National Conference on Ada Technology *
- *********************************************************
-
- Submissions of student papers for the 11th Annual National Conference
- on Ada Technology are now being accepted. As Ada has become an
- integral part of many computer science programs, opportunities have
- grown for valuable student experiences with Ada in the classroom and
- beyond. In concert with the conference theme, "Ada: Building Block of
- Software Engineering", we are seeking student perspectives on projects
- within the software engineering framework and from all areas of
- the computer science curriculum, including applications in data
- structures, database management, operating systems, real time systems,
- and computer graphics.
-
- Support for lodging for student presenters may be available.
-
- Submit papers to:
- Ms. Kay Trezza, HQ CECOM, Center for Software Engineering
- Bldg. 1210, ATTN:
- AEL-RD-SE-CRM
- Ft. Monmouth, NJ 07703-5000
-
- Submission Deadline: Oct. 23, 1992
- Final Copy: Nov. 13, 1992
- Conference Dates: March 15-18, 1993
- Williamsburg Hilton and National Conference Center
- Williamsburg, VA.
-
- Conference announcement follows.
-
-
-
-
- Don't miss this opportunity to participate in the 11th Annual
- National Conference on Ada Technology in historic Williamsburg, Virginia.
-
- Ada has now become an effective, reliable language, with a maturing
- set of programming environment tools. Ada has had a beneficial role
- in encouraging more effective approaches to design and development,
- and will itself soon be updated to reflect the 9X features.
-
- With the current emphasis on software process improvement, software
- engineering curricula, and software engineering environments, we see
- signs of a maturing field. We thus believe it is appropriate in the
- 1993 Conference to emphasize the broader context of software engineering,
- while continuing to emphasize Ada as an important "building block"
- of this dynamic field.
-
- We invite participants in all aspects of software engineer-ing to
- attend and actively participate in the 11th Annual Conference.
- We are interested in papers on applied aspects of software engineering,
- including lessons learned, by practitioners in government and industry.
- We also invite papers on experimentation and research from government,
- industry, and academia including research-oriented universities,
- teaching-oriented schools and minority institutions. We invite papers
- from professors and from their students -- including advanced
- undergraduate and graduate students.
-
- Plan now to participate actively in this conference, and make it a
- valuable experience for all of us!
