- I sent off a note to the original poster, but I've talked about how we
- solved the stereo problem under X before in comp.windows.x.
- Basically, we provide a separate virtual screen for each video mode
- supported by the hardware and the server draws all 2D primitives into
- both the left and right portions of the frame buffer when a stereo
- screen is in use. 3D/PEX applications can supply different viewing
- matrices for the left and right eyes for full stereoscopic
- visualization. Note that since the X server does the left/right
- rendering for 2D primitives, all Motif GUI components and regular X
- clients appear just fine, even with the glasses on and switching.
